What do we lose
when we optimize
everything?

This story grew out of conversations about technology, AI, and the direction we’re heading. I wrote it as a warning about giving too much of ourselves to machines, and an invitation to think about what makes life worth living.

For readers who finish an episode of Black Mirror and keep thinking about it long after the screen goes dark.
